Yosef Chaim Salazar

Mr. Salazar has extensive experience in representing parties (including lenders) in all aspects of real estate and general business transactions, as well as state and federal commercial litigation and high-stake settlement negotiations.      

Education
Mr. Salazar graduated magna cum laude with a dual degree in law and political science from the Catholic University of Panama, and earned a Master of Laws from Columbia University’s School of Law in New York.  He was awarded Columbia University’s Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar Award for superior academic achievement.  Mr. Salazar is a native Spanish speaker, and is also fluent in French.

Bar Admissions and Associations
Mr. Salazar is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Maryland, as well as the United Stated District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the District of Maryland, and the Republic of Panama.  Mr. Salazar is also a Licensed Title Insurance Producer in Maryland.

Mr. Salazar is an active member of the New York City Bar Association, the American Bar Association (Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section), and the Maryland State Bar Association (Real Property Section).

The Community
Mr. Salazar’s personal interests include historical preservation and genealogy.  In 2001, he successfully researched and drafted a proposal to list a historic Harlem synagogue in the National Register of Historic Places.
